Oregon's Kitchen Table is a program of the National Policy Consensus Center and its non-profit partner Kitchen Table Democracy (formerly the Policy Consensus Initiative). Those programs are housed at Portland State University. Oregon's Kitchen Table was created by a group of non-partisan, non-profit community organizations to help more Oregonians have a greater voice in informing policy. As part of that work, we conduct public policy consultations / surveys and outreach with community partners. This privacy policy describes how we safeguard information shared with us.
Participating in Consultations / Surveys
When you take part in a consultation / survey, you have the option to do so anonymously by simply clicking on the link for whatever consultation / survey is active at https://consultations.oregonskitchentable.org. We will ask for your email and zip code at the end of any consultation / survey; however, your email is not linked with any responses you have given. It is stored in a completely separate file. We use the email address provided in your account information to provide you with the results of any survey or consultation and to offer you the opportunity to weigh in on public issues as well as participate in other civic engagement activities that might be of interest to you, and to notify you of any changes to this policy. We do not sell or trade account information or share any personally identifiable information with contracting agencies.
Your responses to a survey / consultation are assigned a system-generated identification number. Survey responses are never publicly or individually shared with identifying information attached to them, and your identifying information is never attached to survey responses. We do not sell consultation / survey information. For some surveys, we will work with outside partners to help with data analysis. All partners we work with are bound by contract or formal agreement by the terms of this privacy policy.
When you participate in a consultation / survey with Oregon's Kitchen Table, the answers you provide will be reported by the National Policy Consensus Center (NPCC) at Portland State University to the contracting agency in an aggregate, anonymous form. NPCC will not share the responses to survey or consultation questions you provide linked to any information that personally identifies you.
